About Me

My photo
Julia.Newton
I have lived in Switzerland for over 40 years, and for 18 years I had art lessons with Hui-Ling Mavroidis. Later on I had more advanced lessons from Kathie Bard. I like to sell some of my greetings cards, Christmas cards and water-colour paintings. I'm now enjoying art lessons with Kathie Bard and doing some more colourful works in acrylic. I also do watercolours at home. I have also written many reports for the ZIWA website and Newsletter, and founded and still support a cancer support group. I enjoy doing cryptic crosswords. And I also enjoy reading, wine tasting, European travel, visiting art galleries and exploring the beauties of Switzerland. The Newton Recipe Files is part of my Life Story blog, still a work in progress. I love our apartment in Thalwil with its view of the Zurichsee. Our children live in Melbourne and London and we try to keep in regular contact.
